9-1 on the Homestand

The Yankees did what they were supposed to do this homestand and maintain and 2 1/2 game lead in the AL East. Pitching, pitching, and pitching is what got the Yankees in the win column, much more than the bats. The pitching has been great and Hughes has been the shut down guy in the 8th to get to Mo. So far it is working out better than anyone expected, even Phil! The Yankees now travel to Tampa for a very important series. GO YANKEES!
